The Palm M125 is the big brother of the M100 and M105. Improved look and feel as well as subtle application enhancements, make the Palm M125 a solid, down-to-earth PDA with features to match any other entry-level handheld while remaining affordable. Interestingly, the Palm M125 is also related to the Big Daddy M500, which is at the top end of the price range. The M500 was released with SD and MMC capabilities, and at that time Palm promised that in the future these capabilities would be filtered down to models in the lower price range. The M125 appears to be a fulfillment of that promise. The biggest two changes to the Palm M125 are the addition of Palm's new universal connector which allows you to use new peripherals, e.g., a keyboard, and a Secure Digital card slot for expansion. Apart from that, the flip-lid of the M125 Palm, the window of which is a little bigger than those of its predecessors, is made of rubber, giving it a nice, stable grip. The screen size is slighter larger than the M100 and M105 but still much smaller than other Palm models. Push buttons are concave instead of convex and the speaker is louder. Palm M125's also come with a cradle now instead of a serial cable. The Palm M125 comes with the usual Palm software, including Memo Pad, Calculator, Address Book, etc., and includes a useful Mobile Connectivity Software Kit. The much-loved 3rd-party software Documents to Go, which handles Word and Excel docs on your Palm, is an excellent freebie to get. The M125 handheld runs Palm OS 4.0.
