When you buy a Clie PDA, it comes with a range of pre-bundled Clie software, the contents of which may vary according to the model you've purchased. The basic Clie software may include: Clie Launcher, Clie FAQ, Clie Memo, Clie Viewer, Clie Files, Clie Mail, Clie Movie Player, Clie Audio Player, Address Book and Clie Camera. You may also get a small range of 3rd party software, for instance, Picsel Viewer, which allows you to view .doc and .xml files, as well as games. Here is a brief explanation of some of the components of your Clie software bundle: Launcher serves as a menu of the applications on your PDA; FAQ is a list of frequently asked questions which also serves as a help function; Viewer allows you to view any pictures you take with the camera as well as your memo pages; Files is a file management program. Clie Organizer comes with the TH55 and later models. This Clie software is meant to be a launcher, organizer and multimedia gallery in one, basically managing all the applications installed on your Clie. As well as pre-bundled software, remember there is an enormous range of exciting Clie software on the Internet. For instance, Sony has more than 23,000 audio titles from books to radio programs that can be downloaded or even burnt to CD. (There is a free trial available.) The company also offers a wealth of other Clie applications to download, including essential updates for Macromedia Flash Player, NZ90 camera software and NetFront. You can download updates from Sony's handheld web site.
