There is a huge list of free IPAQ software available on the web. That's right you can find massive amounts of free IPAQ programs, at no cost. There is practically every type of program available; too many to go into detail here, but see the list below for summary of the software categories. Be aware, when searching the web, some software can be freeware and others can be free for a trail period. Freeware basically means that you will never have to pay for the PDA software, where as software that is 'free for a trail period', can be freely downloaded, but then after a certain time (or usage limit), the program will deactivate or some or all of its features will be disabled. You should also note, that as the software is free, the individual that developed the software will often provide little or no support for the program and will usually not accept any responsibility if the software malfunctions. Another point that is worth mentioning is that free software can often come with a catch. This means that some programs will contain adware or spyware that is loaded at runtime. In saying this though, there is still fantastic free software to be found on the web. Just make sure that the site you are downloading it from is reputable and that you thoroughly read any associated documentation.
