With most of today's PDAs you can add a PDA camera to it. Taking pictures with your PDA camera can be pretty convenient and of course you get the added advantage of being able to view the pictures straight away on your PDA. Some PDA cameras are designed to run on both models of Pocket PC or Palm, whereas others are just designed to be run with one or the other. There are a number of things you should take into consideration when looking for the right camera for your PDA. - Does it come with a flash?
- What resolution sized pictures can it take (e.g. 640x480 and 160x120)
- Can the PDA camera lens swivel?
- Can it record video and sound?
- What is the mega pixel rating (e.g. 1.2MP, 3.1MP etc)?
- Does it have a digital or optical zoom?
- Can you do a full screen preview?
- Can it automatically (or do you manually have to) adjust color and light settings?
- What format are the photos taken in JPG/GIF etc
- Is the camera going to use a lot of your PDAs battery life?
- What additional software does the camera come with?
There are many PDA cameras on the market today, but finding the right one for your needs is important. Hopefully the above will help you select the right one for the job.
