From the outside the Compaq IPAQ 3765 looks very similar to the previous two models, the 3100 and the 3600. It is not until you turn the 3765 on that you will be able to tell the difference, as it comes with 64MB of RAM and 32MB of Flash ROM. The Flash ROM enables you to update the OS when new releases or patches become available. Powering the IPAQ 3765 is a 206MHz 32-bit StrongArm processor. The display on the IPAQ 3765 is a TFT reflective color LCD and it is capable of displaying 4,000+ colors, with a pixel size of 240 x 320. As with most Pocket PCs this model comes with the following multimedia capabilities, a microphone, headphone jack and speaker. It also comes with an infrared port. The IPAQ 3765 can be expanded to support a PC Card and CompactFlash. Other optional communication packs that are supported are Bluetooth wireless and GSM/GPRS networks. Below is a list of just some of the software that comes preinstalled on the PDA: Pocket PC 2002, Calendar, Contacts, Task, Voice Recorder, Notes, Calculator, Pocket Excel, Pocket Word, Pocket Internet Explorer, Inbox (for e-mail), Windows Media Player (for MP3s), File Explorer and Solitaire. All in all the IPAQ 3765 is a solid performer, and is well worth a look. It comes with a lot of additional software, and as it is a Pocket PC you can load many thousand of other compatible software programs. Please keep in mind that according to the manufacturer this model has now been discontinued.
