The Palm VIIx comes with 8 MB of RAM, which is a lot more than its predecessor, the Palm VII that had 2 MBs. The major draw card for the Palm VIIx is that it has an integrated wireless modem built in. The modem enables you to connect to the Internet via the Palm.net network and browse (certain) websites. One thing you should keep in mind is that there is a monthly fee associated with using the Palm.net network. The process varies depending on the amount of surfing you do. You should keep in mind that you cannot see every website on the Internet with your Palm VIIx. You are only able to connect to sites that support Palm Query Applications (PQA). The PQA use Web Clippings that are special preconfigured pages that are optimized to be viewed on your PDA.
The Palm VIIx also comes with all the usual Palm applications that allow you to store appointments, to-do items, addresses, and memos. It also has the ability to send and receive email once an account is set up with Palm.net, using iMessenger.
The following also comes with the Palm VIIx - Stylus pen, PC serial port, Protective leather cover, Hotsync docking cradle, AC adapter and Palm Desktop software
