- Do you need compatibility for synchronization with Windows or Macintosh PC computers?
- The battery life and is it rechargeable? Some hand held computers don't take rechargeable batteries.
- Dimensions and weight? Will you want to place the hand held in your pocket?
- The ability to add extra memory and hardware add-ons, such as GPS unit
- Is sound recording and playback a requirement?
- Will you need to be swapping files and data with your colleagues? Then you must get similar hand helds that are on the same operating system.
