The Casio iPAQ 3835 Color Pocket PC sports an Intel StrongARM 206 MHz processor and comes with 64 MB RAM. The screen is a reflective TFT liquid crystal 65,000 color display that presents clear and vibrant images. To take the iPAQ 3835 to the next level, it offers an expansion slot that is SD/MMC compatible. As with many other Pocket PCs, the iPAQ 3835 comes with many multimedia capabilities, such as built in microphone, speaker and headset jack. You can also play MP3s and movie clips and with a headset plugged in you can listen to stereo audio.
A big draw card for the Pocket PCs is the ability to read and write MS Office files, such as Word, Excel and Outlook. The iPAQ 3835 comes with Pocket versions of these applications i.e IPAQ software. You can also view e-books with the Microsoft Reader software.
A great feature of the iPAQ 3835 is that it has 32 MB Flash ROM, so when later fixes and updates are released for the Pocket PC 2002 operating system, you can upgrade it. A similar principle is seen with the Microsoft PC Windows software, where they are always releasing additional upgrades and security patches, adding a level of comfort to know that major problems or operating system bugs will be fixed. One thing you should note is that this Pocket PC is wireless capable, but you will need to purchase external expansion pack options to go wireless. All in all, the iPAQ 3835 is a solid and robust PDA, with many performance-enhancing features.
